A man allegedly followed and harassed two young women in Sengkang last Wednesday (26 Aug) night.
According to the women, he then ran away after they confronted and started filming him.
TikTok user @j.aeyyyyy shared a video documenting the encounter, warning other women living in the area to stay vigilant.
The video began with the Original Poster (OP) and her friend chasing the man into a multi-storey carpark.
It then cuts back to an earlier part of the incident, with one of the women pointing out the alleged man following them.
“See that arm there, that’s him bro,” she said, before expressing her shock at the situation.
According to them, the man had allegedly been following them from another HDB block.

They also alleged that the man repeatedly asked whether he could pay them to “do something”.
At one point, they spotted the man hiding behind a pillar, with one saying that he was “squatting” there.
Despite being frightened, one of the women seemed determined to confront the man.
“I know you’re scared, but he messed with the wrong person,” she said.
“He’s running away now,” the OP said, explaining that her friend was going to confront him.

The video then captured the man seeing the camera before sprinting away.
Despite fleeing, he could allegedly still be heard apologising.
The OP updated that she and her friend were unable to catch up to him, suggesting that it may not be the man’s first escape from such incidents.
A netizen praised the OP and her friend for their bravery, but cautioned them against confronting the person in future.

The OP, @j.aeyyyyy, told MS News that the incident happened around 12.30am on 26 Aug in the Compassvale Drive area of Sengkang.
“The guy came up to us and asked us some very weird and vague questions,” she said.
She claimed that the man asked for some assistance, adding that he could pay for the help needed.
“His tone was what made it weird, as it felt like he had other ulterior motives,” the OP explained.
She said that she and her friend remained silent for a while as the man repeated his request.
Her friend then told the man to “get out”.
However, that did not deter the man as he repeated his request for assistance.
“We decided to leave our spot because we felt creeped out,” the OP shared.
“As we walked off, I kept looking back to see him tailing us behind.”
According to the OP, they walked three blocks down and the man followed them all the way.
She said that her friend could not accept such behaviour and decided to confront him, with the OP deciding to document everything as they could not believe this was happening.
When asked if they made a police report, she said: “We did not make a police report as we didn’t deem it as necessary yet.”
The OP also said that her friend just wanted to teach the man a lesson; for him to know that there are consequences to one’s actions.
“She was lucky that he was not a further threat than simply being a creep,” she said.
