A 71-year-old man was found dead near his wife’s grave in Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines, on Monday (27 April) morning.
This comes after the elderly man had been missing for five days.

According to GMA Regional TV, the man’s decomposing body was discovered on a farm just a few metres away from his late wife’s grave.
It is believed that he had just visited his wife when the incident occurred.

A post-mortem examination revealed that he had a myocardial infarction, or heart attack, due to chronic hypertension.
The elderly man’s remains were turned over to his family.
On 23 April, the family reported him missing when he did not return home after going to his farmland.
