Mandai Wildlife Reserve’s new immersive park to open in March 2025

Locals hankering for a new nature adventure can look forward to the launch of the first phase of Singapore’s fifth zoological park, Rainforest Wild Asia at Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

Set to open in March 2025, the 13-hectare attraction allows visitors to choose their adventure with both family-friendly and adrenaline-pumping activities.

“Our newest park celebrates the rainforests of our region, which are home to a vast array of natural wonders,” said Mandai Wildlife Group CEO Mike Barclay.

Kids and wildlife enthusiasts can meet a variety of species, including the new-to-Singapore François’ langur and the Philippine spotted deer, in distinct and expansive habitats to encourage their natural behaviours.

Adrenaline-pumping experiences will also be available, including freefall jumps and caving adventures.

Even stroller and wheelchair users can enjoy the park, with elevated walkways and sheltered rest stops that allow for their comfort.

10 exciting attractions

In total, there are 10 different zones to enjoy in Rainforest Wild Asia.

The Karsts are jagged limestone formations where visitors can watch primates swinging across their environment.

Walk through the Forest Floor, crossing logs and streams for a realistic rainforest experience, to the Rock Cascade where you can spot the Malayan tiger.

Visits end at The Cavern inspired by the Mulu Caves in Sarawak, one of the largest and most intricate cave systems in Southeast Asia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Rainforest Wild Africa to open next

After the launch of Rainforest Wild Asia will come Rainforest Wild Africa, inspired by the landscapes of the Afro-Tropical region and Madagascar.

Adventure-seekers can also expect even more exciting attractions and activities to come at Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

Meanwhile, Mandai Rainforest Resort is also slated to open in the first half of 2025, allowing guests to live in comfort, nestled in a rainforest.
