32-year-old female motorcyclist lies on the road after accident with car in Tampines

A 32-year-old female motorcyclist was sent to the hospital on Sunday (4 Oct) morning after being involved in an accident with a car in Tampines.

A photo of the aftermath posted in a Telegram chat group for motorists showed paramedics attending to the woman, who was lying on the road.

Motorcyclist lies on road Tampines in front of car

According to the photo, the accident had occurred near an overhead bridge that links Our Tampines Hub with the Telepark building opposite.

Next to the fallen motorcyclist was her motorcycle, which lay on its side across the three-lane road.

A few metres behind them was a white car, which had stopped with its back door and hazard lights flashing.

A Traffic Police officer and his motorcycle were also at the scene.

Motorcyclist conveyed conscious to CGH

In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 10.40am on Sunday.

It took place along Tampines Avenue 5 in the direction of Simei Avenue, and involved a car and a motorcycle.

A 32-year-old female motorcyclist was sent to the hospital in a conscious state.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at about 10.45am, told MS News that she was conveyed to Changi General Hospital (CGH).

 

Additionally, a 35-year-old male car driver is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.
