On Wednesday afternoon (9 Sept), a motorcyclist rear-ended a car and flipped onto the road after failing to brake in time on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE).
A nearby dashcam captured the incident, and the Original Poster (OP) later shared the footage on Facebook.
In a video on SG Road Vigilante on Facebook, the incident happened on PIE towards Changi.
Several vehicles travel along the four lanes before a motorcycle comes into frame.

A white car in the far-right lane then signals to change lanes and slowly moves left towards the third lane.

The motorcyclist notices the car changing lanes and attempts to brake suddenly, but the motorcycle tips forward due to its high speed.
This sends the motorcyclist flipping forward onto the road, while the bike rear-ends the car in front.
After the fall, the motorcyclist lies on the road while the car comes to a stop.
Meanwhile, the OP continues to drive down the highway before eventually pulling over to the road shoulder.

In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the accident at around 3.45pm along PIE towards Changi before Bukit Timah Exit.
Additionally, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they were alerted to the accident at the same time.
The paramedics conveyed a 49-year-old male motorcyclist to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, who is assisting the police with investigations.
Efforts to trace the trailer driver are underway.
Police investigations are ongoing.
