These days, finding a fun weekend activity for the whole family without spending a small fortune can be a challenge.
But from 29 Aug to 20 Sept, you can head down to the iconic National Stadium to try your hand at different sports, catch live entertainment, or simply soak in the atmosphere, all for free.
The Kallang Group is bringing back the National Stadium Experience, with an action-packed line-up spanning family-friendly activities, gaming and pop culture events, movie screenings, and sporting experiences.
Highlights include the Collecta Fest Trading Card Game (TCG) Card Show, a 5km community walk, K-pop Random Play Dance sessions, and even the chance to go behind the scenes of the National Stadium.

Throughout the weekends, visitors can also look forward to an inflatable playground, open mic karaoke, and the stadium’s LED Roof Display.
For families looking for something to keep the little ones occupied, the first weekend puts children firmly in the spotlight.
Young ones can learn to ride a bicycle at the free Teach a Child to Cycle Workshop, which runs from 10am to 1pm on both 29 and 30 Aug, with each session lasting an hour.
Participants must be at least three years old, and sportswear and covered shoes are required. Slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with registration through The Kallang App.

Families can also get hands-on with sports tryouts such as virtual archery and foam blaster shooting on 30 Aug from 2pm to 6pm.

For something a little less sporty but still plenty of fun, the Children Entrepreneurship Fair will run from 11am to 6pm.
Visitors can browse creations by young entrepreneurs, who will get the chance to sell their own products while building confidence and picking up real-world business skills.

Those keen to work up more of a sweat can also join Muaythai Tryouts held at multiple timings.
Meanwhile, the Youth & Adult Wai Kru Course takes place on 30 Aug from 10am to 1pm, introducing participants to the Wai Kru Ram Muay, the traditional ceremony performed before Muaythai bouts.
The following weekend shifts gears towards gaming, collectibles, shopping, and K-pop.
From 11am to 7pm, visitors can browse the AL!VE Artisan Market by Invade, featuring curated artisan brands, handcrafted goods, and locally inspired creations.

Trading card collectors can also make a beeline for the Collecta Fest TCG Card Show, which runs from 10am to 8pm.
Whether you are a seasoned collector or just getting into the hobby, you can browse, trade, and hopefully walk away with a rare find.

Gamers, meanwhile, can put both their reflexes and fitness to the test at the Overclocked Fitness Gaming Challenge by the Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA).
Participants will tackle four back-to-back stations, including a Ring Fit chest press and squat round, Taiko no Tatsujin, and a Valorant aim range.
Every player starts with 1,000 points, with their standing tracked on a live leaderboard. The challenge runs from 10.30am to 8pm.

K-pop fans will also have something to look forward to on 5 Sept when Seoul Searching SG brings its Random Play Dance to the National Stadium for the first time ever.
Running from 6pm to 7.30pm, the session will feature DJ Raw, who has shared the stage with K-pop stars Chung Ha and Lee Hi at Marquee Singapore.
The next evening, visitors can wind down under the stars with Cinewav’s screening of ‘A Minecraft Movie’ from 6pm on 6 Sept.

If you missed some of the earlier activities, the 12 and 13 Sept weekend brings another chance to get moving, catch up on returning favourites, or simply spend a day out at the National Stadium.
One of the main highlights is Samsung Singapore’s Galaxy Walkathon on 13 Sept, which kicks off at 7am as part of the brand’s SG61 celebrations.
Participants will take on a scenic 5km community walk around Kallang before crossing the finish line inside the National Stadium.
Combat sports fans, meanwhile, can catch Fight For Hope by the Singapore Muaythai Association on 12 Sept from 12pm to 6pm.
The new Muaythai festival spans three weekends across August and September and is headlined by AMC 13 – Fight for Hope, alongside a programme of courses, classes, and competitions.

The AL!VE Artisan Market will also return from 11am to 7pm.
And if you missed the K-pop Random Play Dance the weekend before, Seoul Searching SG will hold another session on 12 Sept from 6pm to 7.30pm.
To round off the weekend, visitors can settle in under the stars for a screening of ‘The Batman’ from 6pm on 13 Sept.
