A 25-year-old female pedestrian was sent to the hospital on Wednesday (5 Aug) afternoon after being involved in an accident with a car along Orchard Road.
Footage of the aftermath shared by an Instagram user showed that the car had crashed into the pavement in front of Mandarin Gallery.

In the clip, the silver vehicle appeared to have mounted the kerb and hit a traffic control box, knocking it ashew.
The car was slightly damaged, with the impact causing its front bumper to be dislodged.

Several people surrounded the car, including a man who was standing next to the driver’s door and on his phone.

At least four paramedics from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were at the scene, with their ambulance parked along Grange Road behind the stray car.

They attended to a woman who was sitting on the pavement.

A stretcher was also prepared to send her to the hospital.

In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at 3.50pm on 5 Aug.
It took place at the junction of Orchard Road and Grange Road, and involved a car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 25-year-old woman, was sent to the hospital in a conscious state.
SCDF, which was alerted at the same time, told MS News that she was conveyed to Raffles Hospital.
Additionally, a 20-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
