Toy collecting has become serious business, with limited drops, artist collaborations, and conventions drawing increasingly devoted fans.
And if you’re into that, Pop Toy Show Singapore is back for its fourth edition with exclusive releases, live art, and the chance to meet some of the artists behind your favourite characters.
Held at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) from now till this Sunday (23 Aug), the three-day convention brings together collectibles, international and local creators, and plenty of new launches to add to that ever-growing village of figurines back home.
One of the biggest draws at this year’s Pop Toy Show is the chance to meet the artists behind some of Pop Mart’s best-known characters, and even get a piece from your collection signed.

For longtime Molly collectors, Kenny Wong is one to look out for. The Hong Kong artist created the pouty, doe-eyed character in 2006, making this year her 20th anniversary.
Catch Wong at Hall of Fame 2 from 12.45pm to 1.45pm on Saturday (22 Aug), or swing by Booth B15 to say hello at other times.
If you’re more of a Hacipupu fan, you can meet the creators behind the character at Hall of Fame 2 from 11.30am to 12.30pm on Sunday (23 Aug).
The weekend line-up also includes Bao, creator of Kubo; CJ Chujia Yin, behind TinyTiny; Nightsays, creator of 1001MOONS; Libby Frame, behind Peach Riot; Chokocider, creator of Duckoo; and Kaka, behind Nyota.
If you’re hoping to score an autograph, though, you can’t simply show up and hope for the best.
Queue cards are distributed 30 minutes before each session on a first-come, first-served basis, and only those with a valid card can take part.
Capacity is limited to 50 people for 60-minute sessions and 30 people for 30-minute sessions, with queues closing 10 minutes before the start time.
Each participant can have two items signed, or opt for one item plus one autograph card. Those who arrive empty-handed will still receive one autograph card, while sketches, drawings, oversized cards, and blank frames are not accepted.
And yes, you can snap a photo during your turn to remember the moment.
Some artists will also be getting creative on stage, with live painting sessions continuing throughout the weekend.
The programme features appearances by Fableonaut, ChuChuMei, Sad Shrimps, My Space Cats, liliumhs, Wood.youmind, and Yuna Park, alongside mascot performances and lucky draws.
Beyond the stage, Singaporean creators are well represented across the convention floor, too.
My SpaceCats, created by local artist Rex Lee, will present limited-edition versions of Kensington Mau and Wonka Mau, while Sad Shrimps is debuting its first-ever blind boxes and blind bags.
Local toy manufacturer Mox Monsters is also launching Gold Fish Balls, a new toy line designed by Singaporean artist scong.
There are plenty of overseas exclusives in the mix as well. Thai artist Wood You Mind, for instance, will be showcasing a Merlion-inspired piece and a limited-quantity Bunny Necklace.
One practical tip before you start browsing: Artist Eden exhibitors primarily transact in cash, so it may be worth keeping some on hand.
Pop Mart’s own booths, meanwhile, are cashless, with payment accepted via NETS, Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, WeChat Pay, and Alipay.
Of course, shopping and collecting are still very much at the heart of Pop Toy Show, and there’s plenty to tempt you across the sprawling convention floor.
Birthday girl Molly is taking centre stage this year with several anniversary releases, including the Molly Chrysanthemum Ice Cream, which is making its Singapore debut.
There’s also the Mega Royal Molly 400% 20th Anniversary and Molly 20th Anniversary Exhibition Exclusive Fridge Magnet to look out for.
Other Pop Toy Show Singapore exclusives include Kubo – Soup Dumplings, Chaka Unicorn · Abide in the Light, and Hacipupu Giraffe, all worthy additions if you’re hoping to become the envy of your fellow collectors.
Hirono collectors have new launches to browse too, including the Hirono Hisyphus Sculpture and Hirono Dino Plush Doll Pendant, both making their first appearance at the show.
