On 31 Oct, Workers’ Party (WP) chief Pritam Singh attended the inaugural Halloween party in Eunos, dressed up as a dragon.
He encountered residents dressed like an ERP gantry or ghosts.
Mr Singh, Member of Parliament (MP) for Eunos, shared a Facebook post on 2 Nov about his time at the spine-chilling Halloween party.
He went as a red dragon, wearing a mask and two mini-wings on his back.

In terms of execution, however, he was no match for his wife, Loveleen Kaur Walia.
The theatre practitioner went as Elphaba, the witch from Wicked, and even painted her skin green and carried a broom, for good measure.
There was no shortage of creativity from the residents either. Two of them dressed up as bedsheet ghosts with bloody handprints.

But even spookier was the ERP gantry costume.
“ERP prices like my age. Always going up,” the gantry read. Mr Singh stood under it for a photo and was presumably charged a fee.
One of the most impressive attires at the party was someone dressed as Sun Wukong (the Monkey King for those less initiated).
He completed the costume with monkey-like facial hair and a size-changing cudgel.

Mr Singh said that he and Elphaba had a great time at the party.
He praised the Team Eunos volunteers for their “stupendous effort” in organising the show, promising them a treat (with no tricks).

Mr Singh was also one of many MPs and politicians who dressed up for their local Halloween party.
Jalan Kayu’s Ng Chee Meng opted for a Harry Potter costume while Woodgrove’s Hany Soh showed up as Snow White.
