RWS’s Festival of Thrills has motorsport stars meet-and-greet, free gaming zone & new Pontianak character at HHN14

Resorts World Sentosa brings Festival of Thrills from 1 Sept with racing thrills, Halloween scares, and silent disco

Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) is adding a dose of motorsport excitement to its Halloween season this year, with a full-scale race car display, free racing games, and a meet-and-greet with motorsport personalities joining the returning Halloween Horror Nights 14 (HHN14) at Universal Studios Singapore (USS).

In a press release published on Wednesday (12 Aug), RWS announced that its Festival of Thrills will bring together motorsport-themed experiences at Weave, Halloween programming, concerts, dining experiences, and other activities across the integrated resort.

The resort-wide line-up runs from 1 Sept to 1 Nov.

Motorsport theme takes over Weave

From 13 Sept to 12 Oct, Weave will host a motorsport-themed activation centred around a full-scale race car display.

Visitors can also check out exclusive collectibles, interactive experiences, and content exploring the innovation, precision, and engineering behind top-tier racing machines.

The activation will culminate on 7 Oct with a special appearance by renowned figures from the motorsport world, whom RWS has yet to name.

Selected campaign winners will get access to a live meet-and-greet, including photo opportunities, autograph signings, and conversations about life in motorsport.

As of press time, RWS had not shared details on how the winners would be selected.

From 11 Sept to 11 Oct, visitors can also try their hand at racing for free at the Lenovo Gaming Zone, which will be open daily to the public.

The interactive experience features two gaming zones where visitors can test their speed, precision, and racing instincts.

An AI photobooth will also transform guests into race car drivers through AI-generated visuals, giving them a personalised keepsake to take home.

Shoppers get free perks around Weave

RWS is also rewarding shoppers at Weave during the Festival of Thrills.

A minimum spend of S$80 in a single receipt unlocks a complimentary photo at the Frightly Photo Booth on Level 1, while spending S$250 across up to four same-day receipts, including at least one from Starbucks Weave, gets shoppers a limited-edition Starbucks Bearista Plush and Pouch Keychain set.

Every Friday and Saturday in October, visitors can also pick up complimentary Trick-or-Treat Buckets, Halloween tattoos, and stickers at Level 1, with no purchase required.

For those looking to unwind, the Adrenaline Bar at B1 Weave will run daily from 11 Sept to 11 Oct before reopening on selected dates from 15 Oct to 1 Nov.

Visitors can play complimentary race-inspired games, including race simulators and a Pit Stop Challenge, snap pictures at a racing-themed photo spot, catch live band performances, and enjoy Heineken beers and interactive bar games.

Opening hours vary by date, so visitors should check RWS’s website before heading down.

M.A.C and Fanta bring Halloween pop-ups

Beauty fans can get into character at a M.A.C Cosmetics Halloween-themed pop-up running daily from 23 Sept to 1 Nov, from 11.45am to 9pm.

Professional make-up artists will recreate looks inspired by HHN14 characters from S$35, while visitors can also request other horror-themed looks.

The pop-up will also hold three Halloween make-up masterclasses on 2, 9, and 17 Oct, from 4pm to 6pm.

These will include make-up demonstrations, personal consultations, and even fringe activities such as tarot card reading.

Fanta is also setting up its Halloween-themed Fanta Rest In Party experience at Weave and HHN14 on selected event nights.

Visitors can try Halloween-themed games such as Cursed Fizz and Freakquency, as well as the Beyond The Rave photo opportunity at Weave.

Inside HHN14’s The Raveyard scare zone, they can also take on the Soul Catcher experience.

Those who purchase two participating Coca-Cola beverages will receive a game pass to play the interactive games and stand a chance to win Fanta merchandise.

Ponti-Ana debuts as HHN14’s new scream queen

Of course, the biggest draw of the season remains USS’s Halloween Horror Nights 14, running on 18 select nights from 25 Sept to 1 Nov.

This year’s event introduces Ponti-Ana, a new character inspired by the legendary Pontianak ghost of Southeast Asian folklore.

According to RWS, Ponti-Ana was buried long ago with a sacred nail driven into the back of her neck.

She is awakened by the pounding bass and dancing crowds above her, before being unleashed when the nail is removed.

Ponti-Ana takes centre stage in a new live show, Nail the Beat, at The Raveyard scare zone, alongside HamiKuma, a zombie teddy bear character from Universal Studios Japan’s Halloween Horror Nights making his first appearance at USS.

Fan-favourite opening show Scaremony also returns, alongside new live spectacle Club PanDEMONium, where guests enter a nightclub ruled by KHAOS, a theatrical demon described as a “judger of souls”.

This year’s full HHN14 line-up comprises four haunted houses — Singapore’s Most Haunted: On Air, Karang Guni: The Cursed Collection, Made in Hell: XL Robotics, and Chatterbox Charlie’s Vaudeville Horrors — as well as two scare zones, three live shows, and a roaming horror experience.

Themed food and drinks include the Ponti-Ana-inspired Kampung Lemak Chicken Burger as well as The Karang Guni Feast, featuring crispy fried chicken with blue pea coconut rice and masak merah gravy.

Guests can also try the Kampung Raspberry Soft Serve Ice-cream, Kopi Guni Afterlife Shake, and Kia Si Antidote, a non-alcoholic lime and green apple-flavoured drink.

An exclusive merchandise collection launches on 17 Sept, including Ponti-Ana apparel and accessories, HHN14 Kia Si T-shirts and keychains, as well as HamiKuma plush backpacks, popcorn buckets, and headbands.

Regular HHN14 tickets go on sale from 14 Aug at S$68 for non-peak nights and S$78 for peak nights.

They can be purchased through RWS’s website or official ticketing partner Klook, while Mastercard cardholders who purchase selected exclusive packages can enjoy additional savings.

Oceanarium debuts its first silent disco

As part of Into the Glowcean, running at Singapore Oceanarium from 5 Sept to 1 Nov, RWS is holding the venue’s first-ever silent disco on 19 Sept, from 8pm to 11pm.

The one-night-only event will offer after-hours access to selected zones of the Oceanarium.

Guests will wear wireless headsets that let them switch between multiple music channels as they explore the marine habitats, allowing the music experience to take place without conventional speakers.

Highlights include dancing among illuminated sea jellies at Ocean Wonders and catching DJ sets amid replicas of prehistoric marine predators and living species with ancient evolutionary lineages at Ancient Waters.

At Spirit of Exploration, guests can stop by Explorer’s Nook café, with a replica of the ninth-century Omani dhow Jewel of Muscat as its backdrop.

Limited tickets for the Silent Disco: Deep Blue Beats are available through RWS.

Concerts and a quiz round off the season

Resorts World Ballroom will also host several concerts during Festival of Thrills.

The line-up includes Pakho Chau’s fan meeting concert, Shining Stars Concert 2026, Jia Le 15th Anniversary Hokkien Hits Concert, Young Captain Concert, and Bodyslam Live in Singapore 2026.

For the first time, RWS is also introducing an online personality quiz that gives participants their own “Thrill-Seeker Profile”, before recommending attractions, dining options, and experiences around RWS that match their interests.

Guests can download and share their results, compare profiles with friends and family, and use them to plan their visit.

Any spend at participating outlets will also earn guests a limited-edition Thrill Seeker Scratch Card. Each card guarantees a prize and gives holders a chance to win the grand prize, dubbed the Ultimate Thrill-Seeker Experience.
