Twitter User Warns Of Mystic Sikh Man In Tanjong Pagar Who “Hypnotised” Him Into Giving $300

Mystic Sikh Man Allegedly Tricks Unsuspecting People Into Giving Him Money

If you’ve heard about the man in Bugis with “Thanos-like rings” and thought it was ridiculous, wait till you read about a mysterious Sikh man in Tanjong Pagar.

A Singaporean shared his friend’s unfortunate encounter with the man in a viral tweet that has received over 3,000 shares.

With hypnotism and fortune telling in the mix, you might want to suspend your disbelief before following this story.

Sikh man asks for donations for his temple

Twitter user Danish relayed his friend’s encounter through a photo of a police report that was filed on Saturday (5 Oct).

According to the report, his friend was at Tanjong Pagar Plaza on Saturday afternoon when a Sikh man in his 50s approached him.

Claiming to be from Kuala Lumpur (KL), the man requested for donations for his temple.

Out of goodwill, Danish’s friend fished out his wallet to donate $2, but ended up giving more than $300 in cash instead.

He claimed that he wasn’t feeling generous all of a sudden, but that the old man had probably “hypnotized” him.

Hard to believe? Well, he insisted that he was “completely unaware” of his actions, so his best guess might be true.

Be wary of strangers who approach you

For the sceptics out there, Danish shared a link to a similar encounter in Little India 4 years ago.

A Sikh man had approached someone, told facts like the person’s age accurately, and then asked for money.

We don’t know what to make of these stories, but one thing remains clear – be wary of who you interact with on the streets.

If the person seems remotely suspicious, stop all communication and walk away.
