Sold-out S’pore Grand Prix 2026 draws 301,294 attendees, 2nd-highest turnout in history

Singapore Grand Prix 2026 draws 301,294 attendees over sold-out weekend

The Singapore Grand Prix has once again drawn a massive crowd, with this year’s turnout coming remarkably close to breaking the event’s all-time attendance record.

A total of 301,294 attendees flocked to the Marina Bay Street Circuit over the three-day race weekend from 9 to 11 Oct, making it the second-highest turnout in the event’s history.

According to race organiser Singapore GP, the 17th edition was another sell-out, with attendance also reaching its highest level since the circuit underwent changes in 2023.

In fact, this year’s figure was just 706 attendees shy of the record.

2026 attendance falls just 706 short of 2022 record

The Singapore Grand Prix’s attendance record still belongs to 2022, when 302,000 spectators turned up over three days.

That year marked the return of the night race after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with fans turning out in force for its long-awaited comeback.

This year’s numbers are particularly notable given that the Marina Bay Street Circuit has operated with reduced spectator capacity since 2023, following the removal of the Bay Grandstand to make way for redevelopment works at The Float at Marina Bay.

Attendance dipped to 264,108 that year, before rising to 269,072 in 2024 and 300,641 in 2025.

The upward trend continued in 2026, with 653 more attendees than last year.

While the increase was relatively modest, it meant the Singapore Grand Prix had crossed the 300,000 mark for the second consecutive year.

Hospitality attendance also sets new record

Beyond the overall turnout, Singapore GP reported that hospitality attendance reached a new record in 2026, although it did not disclose the exact figure.

Racegoers had more than 11 hospitality offerings to choose from, including the Formula 1 Paddock Club and TWENTY3, which featured pop-up restaurants helmed by chefs holding a combined 30 Michelin stars.

Meanwhile, 2026 also marked another milestone for the event, with Singapore hosting its first-ever F1 Sprint race.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen emerged victorious in the shorter-format race, before securing pole position for 11 Oct’s 62-lap Grand Prix, which he went on to win as well.

The victory marked his first Singapore Grand Prix win, completing a clean sweep of the weekend.

Away from the track, racegoers were treated to performances by local and international acts, including JJ Lin, K-pop boy group CORTIS, Zara Larsson, DJ Snake, and The Killers.

Sunday’s entertainment line-up also featured Lana Del Rey, Janet Jackson, James Arthur, and Mark Ronson.
