Cheeky StarHub Tampines Customer Changes Phone Wallpapers To Woman Yelling At A Cat Meme

StarHub Tampines Phones Have An Iconic Meme As Their Wallpapers

Memes tend to be so witty that we’ll automatically burst out laughing upon seeing one.

A customer at a StarHub outlet in Tampines decided to spread the cheer by bringing an iconic meme to life, putting them front and centre on two display phones.

The choice of a current trending meme was apt, gaining the photo over 4,400 retweets as of the time of writing.

Many of us are guilty of roving hands whenever we enter shops. Phone shops are especially hard to resist since we can fiddle and do so much with them.

Instead of merely browsing apps and cool features, a cheeky customer at a StarHub outlet in Tampines thought of leaving a more memorable mark behind.

Finding 2 display phone sets side by side, he or she changed their respective wallpapers to the “Woman Yelling At A Cat” meme. The left phone showed a hysterical woman, while the right showed a petrified cat.

If you’ve been diligently scrolling through Twitter enough, you’d need no explanation for this meme.

But for the benefit of those less social media savvy, let us enlighten you on this legendary piece of modern history.

“Woman Yelling At A Cat” meme currently in trend

The origins of the meme are rather random, with the left photo being a still from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hill”, where a cast member tries to calm another down.

The confused cat at the table, meanwhile, is Smudge the Cat, who rose to Internet fame a few months ago with this picture.

Put the two together and you get countless variations to hilarious effect. Here are some of the funnier ones.

You know what the correct way should be, but you just can’t help it, can you? If you didn’t see the second reading before, you can’t unsee it now.

The poor, clueless cat just wants to mind its own business, while the crazy lady screams at it. You get the drift.

Singaporean sense of humour

A genius or a clown, we have to thank the StarHub Tampines customer for possibly making many people’s days with the hilarious stunt.

The funny incident proves we Singaporeans aren’t always so serious after all. So if you have any humorous ideas, try to pull them off.

Who knows, you might just make someone laugh. Just remember to keep the jokes tactful and not hurt anybody in the process.
