A printed note in a ladies’ toilet cubicle at an office in the Ubi industrial area has called out an alleged inconsiderate user, reminding her to “sit on the toilet bowl first” before urinating.
The note was spotted by an MS News reader, who wishes to remain anonymous, on Sunday (23 Aug) at around 12pm.
She then shared the note with the news outlet via an Instagram tip-off.
The message, which was written in all caps and taped to the wall of the cubicle, addressed the lady as someone who “cannot urine properly”.

It then urged the person to drink more water, claiming their urine is “very yellow and smelly”.
The note also had a more direct reminder: “Please sit on the toilet bowl first before you urine, you are not animal right if you can read this!”
The poster of the note then ended the message with a curt “thank you!”
Speaking to MS News, the contributor said her initial reaction was that the message was “funny in a rude way”.
She found the reference to yellow urine, paired with the reminder to drink more water, both rude and amusing concurrently.
The contributor said: “Everyone should have basic social responsibility when using shared toilet facilities.”
However, she felt that the poster could have worded the note more tactfully.

She also told MS News that she wasn’t sure if there were similar notices in the other cubicles, as she did not check the rest of the toilet.
Despite the strongly worded note, the reader said the overall cubicle was “simple and clean” when she visited.
It was “not dirty”, although she was unsure whether a cleaner had been working that day as it was a Sunday, and the office was located in an industrial estate.
