If there is one souvenir we love from Japan, it has to be their Tokyo Banana cakes.
However, if you’re more of a chocolate person, you’re in for a treat.
SoraNews24 recently announced that Tokyo Banana has teamed up with Nestle to bring you a brand new mix — Gold Tokyo Banana KitKat.
These KitKat bars are currently exclusive to Japan stores, but more on that later.
Unlike the Tokyo Banana KitKat in 2017, this new release has added caramel powder, elevating the sweetness of the dessert snack.
The Gold Tokyo Banana KitKat, as its name suggests, comes in a gold packaging, making you feel atas even before you taste it.
Upon tearing the gold wrapper open, you’ll be greeted by a beautiful golden bar of KitKat, with a Tokyo Banana imprinted on it. How cute.
This kind of feels like KitKat had an extreme makeover, and we believe the taste proves it too.
With a hint of caramel on top of the Tokyo Banana flavour, it can possibly be the treat to satisfy those with an unending sweet tooth.
These luxury KitKat comes in boxes of 8 and 15. The box of 8 is priced at 700 yen (S$8.70) while the box of 15 is sold for 1280 yen (S$16).
The KitKats are currently sold only at Tokyo Okashi Land (aka Tokyo Sweets Land) from 14 Nov – 8 Jan.
Subsequently, they will be available at more places around Tokyo, including airports, train stations and even famous tourist spots.
If you’re planning a trip to Japan next year, be sure to get your hands on one of these Gold Tokyo Banana KitKats and buy some back for your friends too.
Ps: We have contacted KitKat to check if this product will be available in Singapore anytime soon. So stay tuned to find out!
