A tragedy occurred amid the flooding in Bangkok, Thailand, after a 58-year-old woman was found dead at a housing estate carpark in the early hours of 26 Sept.
The authorities suspect that the woman was electrocuted.
The incident occurred at the Khlong Chan Housing Authority flats in Bang Krapi district along Soi Nawamin 6, Klong Chan sub-district.
A male resident, Kittiphoom (name transliterated from Thai), reportedly witnessed the woman collapsing and convulsing in the standing water.

He said he observed the scene from an upper-floor window at around 5.30am.
The man then reported the sighting to the police.
“I looked down at the parking area around 5.30am and saw someone thrashing in the water,” Mr Kittiphoom told investigators.
“At the time, I couldn’t identify who it was because only her legs were visible above the water level.”
The police were dispatched to the scene at 8am.
Fearing an electrical leak in the flooded area, officials coordinated with utility teams to safely retrieve her body.
