A 27-year-old university student and a 49-year-old fish pond owner were found dead after they were suspected to have been electrocuted at a fish rearing pond in Terengganu, Malaysia.
Besut district police chief Superintendent Mohd Rozaime Ab Rahim said police received a report on Sunday (13 Sept), at about 1.40pm, that two women had been found unconscious at the pond.

A medical officer who arrived at the scene later pronounced both victims dead.
The bodies of the two women were sent to the Besut Hospital forensic unit for post-mortem examinations.
Police classified the case as sudden death while investigations into the actual cause continue.
The student was identified as Rubayyi Razali, a second-year biodiversity degree student from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Jengka campus.
Her husband, Wan Muhammad Naim Wan Hussin, 28, said he had been picking her up from the fish pond for lunch throughout the week during her practical training.

He arrived at the pond at around 1pm on Sunday but noticed that his wife was not waiting outside as usual.
“When I got closer, I saw two people lying on the ground, one on top of the other. I then realised they were my wife and her employer,” he said.
He immediately sought help from nearby fish breeders, but both women were later pronounced dead.
The victim’s husband suspected the pair may have been electrocuted.
“There was an electrical wire near the area and flowing pipe water,” he said.
Ms Rubayyi had started her industrial training at the fish farm on 10 Aug and was expected to complete it on 2 Oct.
Her husband said she had mentioned feeling tired from the work but continued as the training period was only two months.
The couple have two sons, aged two years and four months.
Before her practical training, Wan Muhammad Naim and his mother took turns caring for their children while Ms Rubayyi studied in Pahang.
The other victim, the owner of the fish pond, was identified as Wan Adilah Wan Awang.

Police said the exact cause of the incident remains under investigation.
Authorities will conduct further checks at the site to determine whether an electrical fault or other factors contributed to the deaths.
