Six male teenagers have been arrested for their suspected involvement in two motorcycle theft cases in Punggol.
According to a news release by the Singapore Police Force (SPF), the suspects, aged between 13 and 16, allegedly stole two motorcycles in the vicinity of Punggol Drive and Punggol Central between 12 and 13 April.
Following investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identities of the teenagers.
They were subsequently arrested on Tuesday (14 April).

Preliminary investigations revealed that the teenagers were able to steal the motorcycles as the transponders had been left inside the storage compartments.
Police also said that none of the teenagers possessed a valid driving or riding licence.
Both motorcycles have since been recovered.

The six teenagers were charged in youth court on Wednesday (15 April) for theft of a motor vehicle under Section 379A of the Penal Code 1871.
The offence carries a penalty of up to seven years’ imprisonment, as well as a fine.
