YouTrip users in Singapore are in for a treat as the multi-currency digital wallet celebrates its eighth anniversary this August.
From now until 15 Sept, new and existing users can enjoy 3% cashback when they hit the minimum spend, plus stand a chance to win a pair of return flights to Japan.
To unlock the anniversary perks, users will first need to opt in via the YouTrip app.
From the home screen, tap the “Win free flights to Japan” banner, then hit “Join Now” to participate.
Once you’re in, spend a minimum of S$400 during the campaign period from 19 Aug to 15 Sept to receive 3% cashback and one entry into the lucky draw.
Eight lucky winners will each walk away with a pair of return flights to Japan, so if you’re already mentally planning that ramen, matcha, and konbini run, you’d better start putting that YouTrip card to work.
The celebrations are heading offline, too, with YouTrip taking over Funan Mall for a four-day experiential pop-up from 27 to 30 Aug.
Visitors can get their hands on collectible Trippie merchandise, including T-shirts, tote bags, and sticker sheets featuring YouTrip’s adorable dragon mascot.

There are plenty of activities to keep you busy as well.
For instance, you can personalise your tote bag with exclusive iron-on patches, or put your reflexes to the test at an arcade-style reaction challenge, where you can win S$50 in cash.
And if all that talk of free flights has you manifesting a Japan holiday already, make a stop at the live matcha station for a handcrafted drink while you’re there.
YouTrip is also marking the milestone by venturing into anime for the first time, complete with an original soundtrack.
The fully animated 90-second music video stars Trippie the Fee Slayer, a pint-sized hero representing YouTrip’s mission to help travellers get the best foreign exchange rates without hefty fees.
The video sees Trippie battle the Fee King and his army of Fee Monsters across destinations such as Tokyo, Seoul, London, and beyond.
You can watch the video on YouTrip’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
