Nine deer at a private zoo in Bangkok have tragically drowned as a result of the flooding situation in Thailand.
The story circulated on social media when a Facebook user requested help from vets to come rescue deer that were trapped on 26 Sept.
“Otherwise, they will surely drown,” she wrote.
Photos and videos on Facebook show the deer inside a flooded enclosure with their legs fully submerged.

According to ThaiPBS, multiple specialists, vets, and volunteers rushed to rescue the deer at Siam Amazing Park. A total of ten deer were rescued, with one under treatment and nine others dead.
Thai authorities arrived at the park on 27 Sept at 2pm to survey the situation.
By 8.30pm, a team of 20 began moving the deer out of the zoo.
The operation reportedly ended at 11.30pm.
On 28 Sept at 12.47am, the woman who originally called for help posted a clip showing the deer in their new makeshift quarters.
She extended thanks to all those who assisted in the efforts.
The president of the Little Paws Adoption Center said the deer were physically weak after being submerged in water for a long time.

Unfortunately, she also mentioned that one rescue effort had to be abandoned when the deer got spooked.
Another rescue effort was scheduled for 29 Sept.

The president of the non-profit rescue foundation has urged businesses that have animals to develop clear contingency plans in case of emergencies such as these.
