On 24 Oct, a TV programme in South Korea shared details of a gruesome murder that occurred earlier this year.
In June, a 24-year-old man called the emergency hotline asking for help after his 28-year-old girlfriend had collapsed.
When responders arrived at their home in Seoul, they discovered the woman had already gone into cardiac arrest.
They immediately spotted bruise marks on the woman’s body, which the man admitted he had inflicted.
According to SBS, the autopsy revealed that the victim suffered 21 broken ribs and had ruptured many of her internal organs.
The gruesome details of the extent of his abuse came to light after authorities reviewed security footage from their home.
In a span of over three hours, the perpetrator reportedly beat the victim 514 times.

When questioned by police, the man said his attack was impulsive and stemmed from his intolerance for her lying.
He also insisted that he did not mean to kill the victim.
However, a forensic expert who reviewed the security footage said they had to stop watching because it was too disturbing.
“I have seen the terrible acts of many criminals, but personally, I consider this torture,” they said, according to The Korea Herald.
Additionally, the suspect is allegedly heard calmly mentioning death multiple times in the footage.
SBS also reported that investigators uncovered signs of physical abuse that had taken place at least six weeks before the fatal attack.
Furthermore, the suspect’s peers recalled that he had trouble controlling his emotions and often caused conflict.

Experts also found records showing that the victim had used AI several times to answer the suspect’s riddle-like questions.
Despite this, she allegedly struggled to produce the specific answers the man sought.
Meanwhile, the suspect’s parents claim the victim gaslighted their son.
Surprisingly, the man also vowed to support the victim’s family for the rest of his life following her gruesome death.
Further investigation revealed more disturbing details about the couple’s relationship.
Records on the victim’s mobile device showed that the couple had made up a fictional country called “Dduri Kingdom”, with its own legislature, judiciary, and financial institutions.
They also formed their own set of rules, which the suspect claimed they had created to fight less.
Some of the rules included losing one’s right to humane treatment after lying, not allowing pleas once punishment starts, and more.
Notably, the rules also only allowed for the man to dole out the punishment.
