Realistic Bubble Tea Phone Covers Have Us Screaming Take Our Money

Bubble Tea Phone Cases, Cheese Tarts & Pizza For Boba Fanatics

Mention “bubble tea” anywhere in Singapore and you’ll be met with euphoric shouts of approval all around.

Oh, it’s too unhealthy and diabetes-inducing? Who cares! It’s bubble tea we’re talking about here.

As an ode to the drink that’s literally era-defining, some artistic folks have now invented bubble tea merch for you to display your pearl pride.

1. Bubble tea phone cases

The bubble tea addict in me is screaming. Covers are available in 4 ‘flavours’, mint green, strawberry pink, taro-inspired lilac and OG regular milk tea.

From $32.37 onwards, you can order your own pearl milk tea cover online here.

The covers are available for these models of iPhones, while other phone models are available upon request only:

  • iPhone 6/6s
  • iPhone 6/6s Plus
  • iPhone 7/8
  • iPhone 7/8 PLus
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone SE

You can get a strap along with your phone cover for an extra fee. Trust me when I say we are literally o b s e s s e d.

If you prefer something actually edible, check out these mind-blowing BBT hybrids.

2. Bubble tea toast in Singapore

You can get pearls in a sandwich for $6.90 at Benjamin Browns.

Your friends may judge you for being extra, but fans of BBT toast swear by the delectable combination.

3. Boba pizzas in Taiwan

In Taiwan, Foodie Star placed tapioca pearls on pizzas.

We’re not sure how cheese and pearls work together, but with Liho’s cheese tea, anything’s possible right?

4. Bubble tea cheese tarts in Thailand

Speaking of which, bubble tea is also a flavour for cheese tarts over in Bangkok.

Unfortunately, it’s currently only available in Thailand for now.

But, with Hokkaido Bake cheese tart outlets across Singapore, we’re sure it’ll come to Singapore soon too.

BBT’s a lifestyle, not a fad

Bubble tea famously hit a rough patch in the early 2000s, with multiple entrants entering the market only to fizzle out soon after.

But Singaporeans’ collective love for the chewy tapioca balls (aka “pearls”) and flavoured tea apparently never went away.

After a 5-year hiatus, the BBT craze seems to be taking Singapore by storm once again with new outlets springing up at every turn.

We can’t wait to see how it will be reinvented next!
