Speaking to MS News, the OP, Heryong Kwon, 47, said the incident happened on 3 Nov around noon near Orchard Gateway.
“My boyfriend and I were walking from Dhoby Ghaut towards Orchard Gateway when he first noticed the incident and started filming,” she said.
“We saw a lady getting out of the car, so we wondered if it might have been a private-hire vehicle, although we cannot confirm this.”

Ms Kwon also shared that a passer-by attempted to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, and even obtained another one from a bus to help control the flames.
Unfortunately, the smoke continued to thicken.
“We were particularly worried about the driver, who remained near the car for a while,” she said.
“The SCDF firefighters eventually arrived, and we left shortly afterwards.”
