Guy Uses Carousell To Find Date For Tonight’s JJ Lin Concert

Carouseller Seeks Date To Go For JJ Lin’s Gig With

Got plans tonight (16 Aug)? If the answer’s “no”, how about a chance to see homegrown Mandopop star JJ Lin in concert?

This isn’t a contest or anything – just an open jio on Carousell. That’s right: someone’s looking to buy some love on the popular app.

Carouseller “Kayzen” is the person behind the listing and is looking for a date to tonight’s sold-out concert.

Serious dates only

Like anybody serious about love (read sarcastically), Kayzen has a whole lot of checkboxes for his date to tick. He/she has to be:

  • A serious date
  • Pleasant looking, although Kayzen did not elaborate on what qualified as “pleasant”
  • SINGLE–Kayzen is a one-partner-at-a-time kinda Carouseller
  • The date can’t be a minor, but he/she can’t be too old either

Whether the date should be a guy or a girl is still unclear. Interestingly, it appears Kayzen isn’t actually treating his/her date to the concert.

Kayzen’s date is going to cost the “lucky user” $240. A quick check on Sports Hub, shows that the seat is actually priced at $228.

We suppose the extra $12 is Kayzen’s dating surcharge.

First of four sold-out concerts yesterday

JJ Lin is in town for his Sanctuary World Tour, which kicked off at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Wednesday night (15 Aug). He slayed the stage, speeding through hits before an audience of 8,000.

The tour is nothing short of a spectacle. JJ Lin is the first local singer to hold four straight concerts in Singapore. Tickets for the shows sold out in the blink of an eye.

Let’s see if Kayzen’s ad is met with the same enthusiasm.
