A motorcyclist was nearly crushed by a cement truck while he was travelling in Hougang recently.
In a post uploaded on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook group, a cement mixer truck was seen reversing on the road while the traffic light was red.
Caught by surprise, the motorcyclist behind the truck seemingly panicked as he tried getting out of the way.
According to the caption accompanying the video, the incident occurred last Friday (29 Nov) evening along Hougang Avenue 5.
In the clip, a cement truck was seen reversing without warning after an alleged brake failure.
The vehicle’s sudden action caused the motorcyclist between the camcar and the truck to panic. He swiftly dismounted his bike and attempted to drag his bike out of the reversing truck’s path.
While the motorcyclist managed to get himself out of the way, it’s unclear if he was as lucky with his motorcycle.
Meanwhile, the driver and passengers in the camcar screamed in horror as the truck reversed towards them.
