A Singapore content creator is celebrating what she describes as her “big break” after American singer Charlie Puth reposted her TikTok and used her voice in his video.

The Original Poster (OP), @naploes, shared the news in a TikTok post on Friday (21 Aug), with the caption: “SINGAPORE REPRESENT”.

In the video, she joked that she would be “catching the next flight out to LA” and “permanently moving to LA” to start a new career there.

The reason? The singer had reposted her TikTok and went a step further by creating his own TikTok using her audio.

“Guess what? Charlie Puth reposted my TikTok, and not only that, he made a whole a** TikTok to my audio,” she said.

The original audio featured @naploes replying, “You think my Chinese improve?” after someone asked her if she liked Charlie Puth.

Charlie Puth’s TikTok used the audio, with the singer lip-syncing along to the words.

Content creator thrilled by unexpected collaboration

The OP was understandably thrilled by the unexpected collaboration.

“Majulah Singapura,” she declared in the video, before describing seeing Charlie Puth “lip-sync to my Singaporean accent” as “actually crazy”.

She then joked that this marked the beginning of her Hollywood career.

“Hey guys, this is my big break. I’m moving to LA. Don’t worry, this fame ain’t changing me. I’m still Naploes from Singapore, Singapore,” she said.

The OP also gave a shoutout to her long-time followers, affectionately referring to them as her “loyal day ones” and asking what they wanted from LA.

Netizens play along with OP, some ask her to calm down

A netizen hoped that the fame doesn’t get to the OP, to which she replied: “I going on Jimmy Kimmel liao bye bye.”

One TikTok user told the OP to calm down, given that it was just one reel.

A fellow netizen responded on behalf of the OP, saying: “You have to understand it’s Charlie Puth.”

A commenter told the OP that Marvel is still casting for their upcoming X-Men movie, and she joked that they might not be able to afford her.

Another netizen also asked the OP to bring back a minion from Universal Studios for them.
