Workers’ Party (WP) Member of Parliament (MP) Louis Chua showcased the Sengkang team’s efforts for National Day over the past two weeks.
They delivered essential groceries and held an annual event for residents, which the party’s chief, Pritam Singh, also attended.

On Saturday (22 Aug), the Sengkang MP posted about their National Day activities on Facebook.
“We went round distributing National Day mementos to residents across the estate,” Mr Chua wrote.
They also packed and delivered “essential groceries” to families who needed the support.

On 15 Aug, they held the annual ‘Colours by the Park’ event at the Anchorvale Gardens, which Mr Chua called one of his favourite events.

Despite the rain, families brought their children along to join in the fun and celebrations.
Pritam Singh also attended the event alongside other WP members such as Sylvia Lim, Kenneth Tiong, and Harpreet Singh.

“I enjoyed the conversations with volunteers, residents and also vendors, including home-based establishments in Sengkang,” Mr Pritam Singh said.

He also praised the colouring activities during the event as being superior to “mindless screen time”.
Mr Chua remarked that National Day wasn’t just about watching the parade on television.
It’s also about coming together as a community, neighbours checking in on neighbours, all year round.

He thus thanked every volunteer and resident who helped make the activities over the past two weeks happen.
