Why did the chicken cross the road?

It’s an age-old question, and a netizen in Singapore might have just found the answer.

At a traffic junction along Henderson Road, the netizen spotted a chicken swiftly crossing the street.

Crossed quickly without delaying traffic

Lioncity Lens took to Facebook on 30 Aug to post a video of a chicken strutting along a traffic light at Henderson Road while rows of cars waited for the light to turn green.

Surprisingly, the chicken picks up speed as it approaches the other side of the road.

As the traffic light turns green, vehicles start to move.

Just in time, the chicken reaches the other side of the road and takes a break from the long walk.

The chicken’s supposed sense of urgency amused the Original Poster (OP).

“What about you ‘hoomans’?” the OP cheekily asked.

Netizens praise chicken for ‘knowing the law’

The surprising and rare sight amused many online, gathering over 1.9 million views on Facebook at the time of writing.
