Recently, a netizen spotted a car moving along a Park Connector Network (PCN) cycling path on Albert Street.

Not only did the Original Poster (OP) question the driver’s skill, but they also mentioned that it might be better for some to “stay off the road”.

On Monday (7 Sept), ROADS.sg posted a video of a car travelling along Albert Street.

However, instead of being on the road, the car somehow ended up on the cycling path.

The vehicle with the dashcam footage is seen safely maintaining its lane as it passes the construction works on the left while adhering to road signs and directions.

As the vehicle approaches an Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) gantry, a silver car is observed travelling along the cycling path on the left.

OP questions driver’s competency on the road

In contrast to the tar road, the cycling path is painted bright red.

In the caption, the OP wrote: “I can accept drivers not familiar with road signs and directions. […] But this, how [do] you want me to accept?”

They continued their verbal rampage, adding that “even a K1 kid” would be able to differentiate the road from a PCN in Singapore.

Netizens come up with various theories for the driver’s actions

On Facebook, the video garnered attention from netizens with over 149,000 views.

In the comments section, netizens provided theories and possibilities behind the driver’s actions.

Some showed disappointment at the act, prompting other netizens to “stay safe”.

One netizen chose to see the lighter side of the situation, joking that the driver was trying to avoid paying the ERP charge.
