2 New Covid-19 Cases Involve Filipino Linked To Wizlearn Cluster & S’porean Who’d Been To Jakarta

2 New Covid-19 Cases & 4 More Discharged On 2 Mar, Includes Filipino Domestic Helper

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced 2 more cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on Monday (2 Mar), taking the total number to 108.

Meanwhile, 4 more cases have been discharged from hospital. There are now 78 recoveries from Covid-19.

Case 107 was in Jakarta for 4 days

Case 107 is a 68-year-old Singaporean who’d been to Jakarta, Indonesia from 11 to 14 Feb.

The woman, who lives at Bishan Street 13, experienced symptoms on 16 Feb and went to 2 different clinics on 3 occasions — 20, 23, and 25 Feb.

Eventually, she went to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) on 27 Feb and was confirmed to have the virus on 1 Mar.

She’s currently in the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) and is linked to Case 94 – who was confirmed to have Covid-19 on 26 Feb.

Case 108 is a Filipino helper linked to Wizlearn Cluster

Case 108, on the other hand, is a 34-year-old Filipino domestic helper linked to the Wizlearn Technologies cluster, being employed by Case 101. Case 101 works at Wizlearn Technologies, which now has 12 linked cases.

The Filipino was confirmed to have Covid-19 on 2 Mar and is currently warded at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

4 recoveries takes total to 78

4 patients were discharged on 2 Mar, and with 78 recoveries plus no deaths, Singapore is still managing the situation well.

There are now just 6 in critical condition, one less than previous days. This, too, is a good sign.

Hopefully their conditions improve over the coming days and we wish all patients well in their recovery efforts.
