Ballot opens for Formula 1 Thursday Pit Lane Experience in Singapore

Formula 1 fans are getting a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into race preparations before the highly anticipated Singapore Grand Prix.

Race promoter Singapore GP Pte Ltd has opened the public ballot for the Thursday Pit Lane Experience on 8 Oct.

The ballot gives Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents the opportunity to get closer to the exciting world of Formula 1 right before race weekend.

Walk down the pit lane and view Formula 1 cars up close

Taking place on 8 Oct, the Thursday Pit Lane Experience offers Formula 1 fans a chance to walk down the pit lane of the renowned Marina Bay Street Circuit.

Along the way, fans can view the team garages and cars up close.

And when they’re done snapping pics of their favourite cars, attendees can head to the Zone 1 F1 Village, where a bunch of interactive activities await them in the evening.

Fans can snatch new gear to show off their love for the motorsport, or test their nerves and mettle in the Pit Stop Challenge.

Only 4,500 fans will attend the event

The event has a limited capacity, however — only 4,500 fans will have the chance to win tickets to the experience.

Fans will have until 11.59pm on 18 Sept to ballot for The Thursday Pit Lane Experience. Each successful applicant will receive a pair of tickets to the event.

The ballot is open to all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, and participants do not need to be ticketholders to enter.

Whether you are a newcomer to motorsport or a hardcore fan, this event is a fantastic opportunity to kick off the excitement of the race weekend.
