Yet another preschool has closed due to a staff member testing positive for Covid-19.
This time, the victim was Learning Vision@Work, a preschool at Kent Ridge. The staff was last at their premises on 9 Apr.
In light of the staff member’s infection, the preschool will be closed from 16-23 Apr.
According to Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), this accounts for the 14-day incubation period as well, since the staff was last at the centre on 9 Apr.
The preschool will undergo disinfection and deep cleaning during this period. Staff, parents and children who attend have also been advised to keep a close watch on their health.
ECDA also mentioned that all staff and children who were affected are on Leave of Absence (LOA) until the preschool reopens on 23 Apr.
Operations will resume on 24 Apr, to provide care for children whose parents work in essential services.
Contact tracing is now ongoing. ECDA is working with the preschool to ensure that all those affected are well.
Please be vigilant in maintaining hygiene and adhering to rules like wearing masks when out. It is crucial that we get the spread under control during the ‘Circuit Breaker’.
