18 people were sent to the hospital on the morning of 28 Aug after an accident involving two lorries in the Boon Lay area.
Footage of the aftermath posted on YouTube showed that one of the lorries had flipped on its side during the collision.

In the clip, it was apparent that the white lorry had fallen on top of a road divider at the traffic junction.

In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 6.55am on 28 Aug.
It took place at the junction of Jalan Tukang and Tukang Innovation Grove and involved two lorries.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at about 7am, told MS News that one person was found trapped in the driver’s seat of a lorry.
SCDF rescued him using hydraulic rescue tools.
Eventually, 18 men were sent to the hospital in a conscious state — both lorry drivers, aged 30 and 35, as well as 16 passengers aged from 24 to 55.
SCDF conveyed 13 of them to the National University Hospital and the other five to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
Additionally, the 35-year-old lorry driver is assisting with police investigations.
Further police investigations are ongoing.
