In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it received a call for assistance at about 8.25pm on 6 Oct.
Officers were deployed to Block 240B Jurong East Avenue 1, where it was established that a 58-year-old man had locked himself in his flat.
As it was assessed that he might pose a danger to himself, SPF’s Special Operations Command and Crisis Negotiation Unit responded to the incident, along with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
