Three people were sent to the hospital on Monday (7 Sept) afternoon after an accident involving five vehicles in Bedok Town Centre.
Footage posted on Facebook showed that the minibus had crashed into a traffic light before a pedestrian crossing across New Upper Changi Road.

According to the clip, the accident had occurred in front of Block 210 New Upper Changi Road, which houses several banks.

A woman was heard saying in a mixture of English and Mandarin that a driver’s head had gotten stuck in the windscreen.
A photo, also shared on Facebook, showed that the minibus’ windscreen had cracked, a door had been crumpled and its bumper had fallen off during the impact.
The minibus appeared to have also knocked into railings by the side of the road.

In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 1.35pm on Monday.
It took place near the junction of New Upper Changi Road and Bedok South Avenue 1, and involved a minibus, lorry and three cars.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same time, told MS News that they found one person trapped in the driver’s seat of a bus.
He was rescued using hydraulic rescue tools.
Three people were subsequently sent to the hospital in a conscious state:
They were conveyed to Changi General Hospital, SCDF said.
Additionally, the minibus driver is assisting with investigations.
Further police investigations are ongoing.
