Samsung Galaxy S10 Is A Pocket DSLR & Takes The Notch Out Of The Picture

Samsung Galaxy S10 Launched In Singapore From $1,078

There are so many new smartphones with exciting features that you’re stressing over which one to choose.

You’ve seen the Google Pixel 3 and Huawei Mate 20, but you’re still holding out for more.

Well, Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S10 series is finally here, and it might just make you reconsider your options.

MS News had an exclusive first look, and we’ll give you a scoop on the most attractive features.

Full screen without borders

Everyone was going crazy when Apple introduced the notch for the iPhone X in 2017.

For the first time, the phone display was maximised, save for a slim bar across the top.

But the notch was still a bit of an eyesore and you wonder why the screen can’t just take up the whole display.

Samsung Galaxy S10 kicks the notch out of sight for you, leaving only a single, pinhole selfie camera.

The screen to body ratio is more than 90%, so you’ll get more screen time — like, literally.

True colours shine through vivid display

Okay stop singing the song in your head now, though the words are on point with regards to the S10 display.

With the world’s first Dynamic AMOLED display, the HDR10+-certified phone shows you the most accurate colours even in harsh sunlight.

HDR10+ basically mimics what the human eye sees as closely as possible.

So you can revisit breathtaking moments through the pictures you take without compromising on the accuracy.

Professional grade cameras

You can really up your Instagram game with the S10’s front and rear cameras. Both can shoot in up to Ultra High-Definition quality, so you can capture all your best angles.

The rear camera has three lenses that will make sure you get the most epic shots:

  • 16 MP Ultra Wide Lens: 123-degree field of view captures what the human eye sees, so what you see in real life is what you get in the picture.
  • 12 MP Dual Aperture Wide-Angle Lens: capture photos in dim or bright lighting
  • 12 MP Telephoto Lens: 2x optical zoom lets you capture the small details while keeping the photo sharp

With such advanced technology, you won’t need to invest in a DSLR. Just whip the S10 out from your pocket and you’re ready to go.
