A Thai woman pleaded guilty to assaulting her Singaporean husband just two months after they had gotten married. The incident occurred in June 2025 after the 32-year-old discovered her husband had gone drinking with his friends.
According to Shin Min Daily News, Warathip Aunkaew was fined S$2,800.
On 4 June, Toh Ming Fu Noah went out to drink at Sultan Plaza with his friends at around 9pm. The 37-year-old shared around 10-12 bottles of alcohol with a group of five friends.

At 1am, Ms Warathip entered the premises and confronted Mr Toh. He asked him what he was doing multiple times before slapping him in the face.
The altercation then led to a verbal argument that quickly escalated. In a state of intoxication, Mr Toh grabbed his wife and took her up to the 8th floor.
When the elevator doors opened, Mr Toh told his wife that they could “die together” and dragged his wife to a window. During this time, Ms Warathip tried to escape, but was unable to free herself from Mr Toh’s grip.
He then opened the window and tried to lift her from the ground.
The prosecutors argued that Mr Toh had only tried to scare his wife. After that, Mr Toh continued to have his wife cornered against the window before the couple left.
At the time of the incident, the pair had been married for only two months.
Ms Warathip suffered no physical injuries from the incident. Mr Toh sustained small cuts on his lips and redness on his cheeks.
In a separate incident, Ms Warathip also allegedly assaulted her husband in July 2025. She punched her husband in the face and chest at a Housing Development Board (HDB) unit in Serangoon.
Authorities charged her with the incident. The court considered this charge during sentencing.
On Tuesday (14 April), Ms Warathip paid a fine of S$2,800 after she pleaded guilty.
