Reality television enthusiasts are in for a treat as a new dating show hits screens today (10 Sept).
This time, the drama is happening right here in Singapore, where singles from across the region move into a Bukit Timah villa to try to find love, with their besties by their side.
Hosted by 987 personality Germaine Tan, ‘Wingman’ follows eight singles and their eight best friends, who serve as wingmen on their quest for love, with a drool-worthy sum of prize money up for grabs, too.

The wingmen will play cupid, tackle challenges to earn dates for their singles, and help guide their romantic choices along the way.
With S$30,000 and their hearts at stake, which couple and wingman will emerge the winners?
Produced by Beach House Pictures, ‘Wingman’ features a colourful cast based across Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines, from pageant queens to actors and tech professionals.

Actress Frayya is fresh out of a seven-year relationship with a man whom her family did not approve of.
Meanwhile, her wingwoman UL is determined to put her psychology degree to good use by assessing the men for any behavioural red flags.

Cheryl, who does social media marketing for her parents’ business, is looking for a man who can treat her like a princess.
Her newly single wingwoman, Krystal, hopes Cheryl’s match will have a kind heart, though, as the pair joke, “a healthy bank account would not hurt” either.

Financial auditor Olivia has been single since 2019, and even then, her ex had kept her a secret.
Her wingwoman Yuki is not afraid to ask her dance bestie’s potential matches the difficult questions, and plans to size them up carefully.

Wingman Richard will hopefully help him score a connection with someone from a different background, and perhaps a relationship he can be more open about.

Gymnastics coach and performer Sam has been in three long-term relationships, but none of them ended in marriage.
Wingman Hadri, who has never been in a relationship himself, hopes to be there for Sam if things get rough, while also flagging any “questionable vibes” along the way.
Wingman premieres on mewatch and the Mediacorp Entertainment YouTube channel at 7pm tonight (10 Sept).
From then, viewers can look forward to two new episodes every Thursday until the grand finale on 8 Oct.

Across the episodes, the wingmen will be taking on challenges to win dates for their singles.
There will also be some big-brain strategy involved as they decide who could be the best match for their besties, while keeping one eye on the prize money.
The winning couple takes home S$20,000, while the winning wingman is looking at a S$10,000 haul.
