The murder occurred in the early hours of Monday (12 Oct). At around 1.40am, a man pushed a woman in her 40s into a vehicle before stabbing her.
He then dumped her body out of the vehicle before driving off and fleeing the scene.
The injured woman then called for help from passersby, who alerted the authorities. She was conveyed to the hospital, but succumbed to her wounds.
Meanwhile, police would later track down the man they believed to be responsible. They arrested the man in his 60s at around 5am, about 7km away from the scene of the crime.

The man had previously been romantically involved with the woman.
According to Seoul Economic Daily, the woman had made several reports against the man, including allegations of sexual assault.
In March, she had reported to police that she was sexually assaulted by the man, and that he had threatened to publicly release footage of their sexual intercourse.
The case was not pursued further after the woman did not turn up for further questioning, and due to lack of evidence.
She had also previously made a report last October over the man’s stalking. However, the case was not pursued further at the time because the woman did not want punishment levied against the man.
Her latest report was made in mid-September where police issued her a smartwatch that would track her location and alert police at the press of a button.
However, the man had seemingly removed the device during the attack.
When questioned by police, the man said the woman had owed him money and refused to meet him, leading him to commit murder.
Police also suspect the woman’s reluctance to pursue stronger measures for the stalking was due to her strained financial relationship with the man.
