Frustrated at her husband leaving his gun around their children, a woman in the US tried to teach him a “lesson”.
The lesson apparently involved shooting him, with fatal results.

They arrested 44-year-old Dawn Marie Freeman and found her husband, 40-year-old Bradley Freeman, dead with a gunshot wound to his chest.

During an interrogation, Dawn explained that her husband had been regularly leaving a 9mm pistol lying around their house.
She repeatedly begged him to secure his gun, as their two children could easily access it.
Despite this, he allegedly continued to leave his gun unsecured for at least two years.
On the day of the shooting, Dawn claimed she returned home and found the gun on the living room coffee table, The Mirror reported.

She allegedly told Bradley to move it, but he refused, causing her to become “angry”.
Dawn then grabbed the gun, pointed it at her husband, and pulled the trigger to “show him a lesson”.
The gun fired and shot Bradley in the chest, causing him to collapse onto the floor.
Dawn allegedly screamed and flung the gun across the room after the gun safety lesson backfired.
Her son, who was home at the time, performed CPR on Bradley while she called for emergency services.
