A 29-year-old male car driver was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs on Tuesday (25 Aug) afternoon after being involved in an accident along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).
Footage posted on TikTok showed two men struggling along the road shoulder, with one of them hurling off the viaduct an alleged e-vaporiser laced with etomidate, known as a ‘Kpod’.

The first clip uploaded by the TikTok user showed one man restraining the other from behind as he clung to the railings before the exit to Mandai Road.

But the man being restrained managed to throw an object off the viaduct anyway.

They then fell to the ground. The original poster (OP) said the man was pinned down until the authorities arrived.

Along the road next to the men were a black Mazda and a white Mercedes.
Another clip, which appeared to be dashcam footage with a timestamp of 5.48pm on Tuesday, showed the two men grappling with each other but also a clearer view of the Mazda and Mercedes that had stopped in the far-left lane.

The OP said the two cars had been involved in an accident.
After the collision, the Mercedes driver had alighted to confront the Mazda driver but found him allegedly “shaking violently with slurred speech”, the OP said.
When he realised that the Mercedes driver was calling the police, he allegedly tried to escape, forcing the other party to restrain him.
The item that he threw over the viaduct was allegedly a Kpod, the Mercedes driver told the OP.
Before the accident, the Mazda had allegedly been driving recklessly and was almost involved in accidents with motorcyclists, the OP said.
He also allegedly hit the centre divider multiple times.
A third video provided by the Mercedes driver showed the same Mazda travelling along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) with its right-turn signal flashing even though it was in the far-right lane.
It veered dangerously close to the side of the road, almost hitting the barrier.

It then swerved to the left, forcing several motorcyclists in the centre lane to avoid it.

As it moved erratically to the left and right, it even encroached into the centre lane as more motorcyclists rode past.

It then signalled left and moved into the far-left lane, though it still drove unsteadily.

It finally entered a slip road to the BKE with its left-turn signal still on.

He subsequently hit the Mercedes from behind, the OP added.
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 5.35pm on 25 Aug.
It took place along the BKE in the direction of the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE), and involved two cars.
No injuries were reported, but a 29-year-old male car driver was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs.
Police investigations are ongoing.
