Tenant finds bags and bottles of urine in housemate’s room

On Saturday (19 Sept), a tenant in Malaysia took to Threads to share his horrific discovery about his “housemate from hell”.

The said housemate allegedly left several plastic bags and bottles filled with urine inside his room.

This sickening revelation came after the housemate left without paying over RM2,000 (S$625) in rent, which the tenant had to cover.

Housemate left with six months of unpaid rent

The original poster (OP) shared that his housemate had a tendency to pay his share of the rent late, or not at all.

This happened even when he had job.

When he didn’t have a job, the OP helped him cover his monthly rent of RM350 (S$109) for six months.

In September, however, the OP was shocked to find that his housemate disappeared without a word.

Little did he know that what he would find in his housemate’s bedroom would stun him even more.

Mattress and walls were stained brown

Upon entering the room, the OP was hit with a foul stench.

He then discovered that his housemate kept plastic bags and bottles of his own urine inside.

In photos he shared, clear plastic bags filled with a dark-coloured liquid were seen hanging on the window, while bags and bottles of dark liquid were gathered on the floor underneath it.

Additionally, the room’s walls and a mattress on the floor were stained brown.

“The house is beautiful and has a toilet, but the room is disgusting because the behaviour is really disgusting,” the OP noted.

Housemate allegedly always paid rent late

The OP claimed that his housemate had always paid his rent late since 2023, but he remained patient.

He shared screenshots of past conversations where he repeatedly asked his housemate for his share of the rent.

Meanwhile, his housemate would respond that he did not have enough money to cover rent or was waiting for his salary.

On one occasion, he also promised to pay as soon as he had funds.

The OP explained that he covered his housemate’s share of the rent since he was the one who handled the monthly payments to the owner and didn’t want his name to be tarnished.

Tenant seeks RM2,000 rent payment from housemate

Now, the OP dreads having to clean the mess his housemate left.

He wants the housemate to pay his over RM2,000 debt, stating he needs the money to pay for his mother’s pilgrimage to Mecca.

The OP claimed the housemate has not answered his WhatsApp and Instagram messages nor picked up his calls.

Because of this, he posted the issue on Threads despite initially not wanting to share it publicly, WeirdKaya reported.

“I tolerated it, but the day you ran away like that, you really are a bastard,” he wrote.
