According to photos shared by a Shin Min reader, more than 10 Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel were surrounding a red Toyota.
They were crouched down and peering under the car’s chassis, apparently at a person who was stuck underneath.
They were also using tools to extricate her.
The reader, 72-year-old Mr Lu (transliterated from Mandarin), told the Chinese daily that they spent about 15 minutes rescuing the woman.
He heard her occasionally crying out in pain during the process.
Another photo showed the woman being stretchered into an ambulance.
A resident who declined to be named told Shin Min that the woman was trying to cross the road when she met with an accident.
But the resident did not know how exactly the accident happened, observing only that she appeared to be able to move.
Reporters who arrived at the scene later found the driveway cordoned off, but the Toyota still there.

Mr Lu said a private-hire driver was believed to be behind the wheel of the car.
After the accident, he got out of the car to check, then went back in and remained there till the police arrived.
Reporters estimated that the man was in his 50s. He appeared shocked and flustered and checked his phone frequently.
When approached, he declined to say much about the incident, only revealing that he was picking up passengers at the time.
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 10.10am.
It involved a car and a pedestrian, and took place at Block 25 Berseh Road.
SCDF, which was alerted at about 10.15am, told MS News that they found a person trapped underneath a car near the block and freed her using hydraulic rescue equipment.
The 84-year-old female pedestrian was sent to the hospital in a conscious state, SPF added.
SCDF said she was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH).
Police investigations are ongoing.
