A 55-year-old woman was arrested in Tokyo after allegedly fleeing from police, crashing into three police vehicles and driving about 10km on the wrong side of a highway in Chiba Prefecture.
The incident began at around 9.25am on 9 Sept when police received a report of a car blocking traffic near an interchange on the Keiyo Road.
When officers arrived, they found the woman sitting in the driver’s seat while holding a knife. Police said she refused to speak for about an hour.
