Motorcyclist dies in accident along Seletar Expressway after bike skidded
A fatal accident occurred along Seletar Expressway on Tuesday (29 Oct) at around 5.20pm after a motorcycle skidded, flinging both its rider and his passenger into a ditch near the road.
The 45-year-old rider reportedly died at the hospital while his 30-year-old passenger survived the accident.

Several SCDF personnel seen carrying out rescue operations
An eyewitness after the incident told Lianhe Zaobao that “a large number” of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel were seen at the scene following the accident.
52-year-old Mr Lin (transliterated) was driving past the accident site when he saw “more than a dozen” SCDF personnel entering the ditch to carry out their rescue operations.
“There was a motorcycle lying on the ground on the road, but no injured people were seen. I believe they were thrown into the ditch,” he told Lianhe Zaobao.
“There were also paramedics carrying stretchers and medical supplies into the ditch.”
He also shared that he was stranded on the expressway for about twenty minutes as a result.

According to the photos he provided, the accident seemingly occurred on the rightmost lane of the expressway. There were also at least three fire trucks seen parked on the road.
Speaking to MS News, SCDF confirmed that they were alerted to the accident along Seletar Expressway towards Bukit Timah Expressway before Mandai Road exit. They subsequently conveyed two people to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) also confirmed the accident along Seletar Expressway. The police believe that the rider had self-skidded on the road.
A 45-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed unconscious to the hospital where he subsequently passed away. A 30-year-old female pillion was also conveyed to hospital, in a conscious condition.
Police investigations are ongoing.
