It took her a while to feel safe enough to leave the toilet, whereupon she contacted campus security at 8.34pm.
Security arrived at around 8.53pm, but the woman alleged that the camera had been removed by then, showing a before and after comparison.

‘Camera’ in toilet cubicle wall turns out to be screw
After an inspection, NUS clarified that the shiny and reflective object in the toilet cubicle hole was a screw, reported Shin Min Daily News.
The screw was meant to secure the toilet paper dispenser in the adjacent cubicle.
Security officers confirmed there were no cameras or recording devices in the restroom or other restrooms in the library building.

CCTV footage also showed that the only person who entered the toilet before security arrived was a female student.
However, she was inside for too short of a time to remove or tamper with a hidden device.
NUS staff since patched up the hole following the incident.
