‘I almost lost my child’: Actress Sora Ma shares terrifying experience of helper leaving her child home alone
Local actress Sora Ma shared a distressing incident involving her child recently.
In a Facebook post on Monday (30 March), she recounted returning home to find her baby crying uncontrollably.
Ms Ma claimed that the incident happened because her helper had left her young son alone at home.
In a series of posts, Ms Ma said that the incident happened during their trip to Kuala Lumpur.
“I almost lost my child, and in that moment, he was completely alone,” she said.

Before this incident, she trusted her helper deeply and was keen for her to “stay for years”.
Returned home after feeling something was wrong
Ms Ma said she initially planned to be away for two hours for a meeting.
However, she felt uneasy and decided to return.
“But something didn’t feel right. So I turned back.”
When she opened the door, she was met with a shocking scene.
She said her child, Skye, looked visibly distressed.
Not only was he crying uncontrollably, but he also appeared completely shaken.
The heartbroken mum said: “My baby was crying in a way I’ve never seen before.”

According to her, the helper was nowhere in the house.
“Not in the room, not upstairs, not downstairs,” she wrote.
“Even her shoes were gone.”
Child allegedly left alone, fell down staircase
Ms Ma alleged that her child had been left alone at home by her helper.

She added that her child had fallen down the staircase while trying to get down from the second floor.
However, she said the issue was not how long the helper had been away.
“It was about how you could leave without telling me, and leave a child behind.
“Accidents are never something you wait to regret. A child’s safety is never ‘just for a while’,” Ms Ma explained.

Actress shares message with other parents
Ms Ma said she hesitated before posting about the incident, but knew that it was an issue that other mothers would likely have struggled with.
She urged others to trust their instincts.
“I’m sharing this as a reminder. Listen to that small voice inside you.”
She also expressed gratitude to friends and family who helped her during the incident.
