Blue CHAS cardholders can enjoy enhanced 8% discount on Thursdays, Orange CHAS cardholders on Fridays
Sheng Siong will double its discounts for Blue and Orange Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) cardholders throughout June.
In a press release on Thursday (28 May), the local supermarket chain announced the increase of its CHAS discount from 4% to 8%.
The move is part of Sheng Siong’s continued efforts to help Singapore families cope with rising living costs.
Discounts available islandwide
The enhanced discount will be available at all 88 Sheng Siong outlets islandwide.
Blue CHAS cardholders can enjoy the 8% discount on Thursdays, while Orange CHAS cardholders can enjoy it on Fridays.

Additionally, Sheng Siong is extending its existing 4% CHAS discount scheme till 31 Dec, beyond its original end date in June.
The 4% discount will be available for eligible shoppers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Senior citizens will also be entitled to the 4% discount on both days.
CDC voucher users can enjoy additional promotions
With Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers being brought forward to June, Sheng Siong will also roll out additional promotions from 1 June to 6 July.
Customers who spend at least S$20 in a single receipt using CDC vouchers can enjoy discounts of up to 50% on selected products, including daily essentials such as eggs and rice.

Families are now keeping a close eye on spending
In the statement, Sheng Siong Group Chief Executive Officer Lim Hock Chee said many families are continuing to monitor their spending carefully amid ongoing cost-of-living pressures.

He added: “The enhanced CHAS discount is a meaningful effort on our part to support households and help our customers make every dollar go a little further. By extending the CHAS discount through 2026, we also hope families can continue benefiting from these savings.”
Sheng Siong provided S$7.5 million in savings in 2025
Sheng Siong said it provided about S$7.5 million in savings through its senior citizen and CHAS discount schemes in 2025.
The supermarket chain first introduced a 4% discount for Blue CHAS cardholders in March 2025, followed by the same discount for Orange CHAS cardholders in January 2026.

Discounts are capped at a maximum spend of $200 per receipt per day.
Exclusions include infant formula (Stages 1 and 2), tobacco products, alcohol, disposable carrier bag charges, phone cards, and Sheng Siong vouchers.

Customers can present either their physical or digital CHAS cards at checkout to enjoy the discounts.
