Motorcyclist sent to hospital conscious after PIE accident involving 6 vehicles
A 60-year-old motorcyclist was sent to the hospital last Saturday (19 Sept) morning after being involved in a six-vehicle accident along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE).
Images of the aftermath posted by Singapura Channel on Facebook showed the motorcycle lying underneath the back of a lorry in lane 2.

Items scattered on the PIE amid bloodstains
In other screenshots, a few items, including a plastic bag, were seen scattered on the road next to the lorry, between lanes 2 and 3.
What appeared to be bloodstains were also smeared on the asphalt.
A Traffic Police officer and his motorcycle were at the scene.

Several damaged cars stopped along the PIE
A few metres ahead of the lorry were two cars that looked to be damaged, especially the silver car on the right that had a dented rear.

Just in front of the silver car were three vehicles that had stopped in lane 2, one after another.

The white car at the end had a large dent on its rear bumper.

PIE accident causes congestion stretching almost 4km
In a post on X, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said at 8.52am on Saturday that an accident had occurred along the PIE in the direction of Tuas, after the Adam Road exit.
Motorists were advised to avoid lane 2.

About 19 minutes later, LTA updated that motorists should avoid both lanes 2 and 3.

At 9.30am, it said that the accident had caused congestion to form on the PIE till the Thomson Road exit — a distance of almost 4km.

The PIE was still jammed at 10.08am, more than one hour after the accident, according to the LTA.

6-vehicle pile-up involves 4 cars
In response to queries from 8world News, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to a road traffic accident at 8.50am on 19 Sept.
It had taken place along the PIE towards Tuas, before the exit to Eng Neo Avenue.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said the pile-up involved four cars, a lorry and a motorcycle.
A 60-year-old male motorcyclist was sent to the hospital in a conscious state.
He was conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, SCDF added.
Police investigations are ongoing.
