The tournament is scheduled for 13 to 15 Aug 2027, marking its return to Asia for the first time since the 2023 Pokémon World Championships in Japan.
One notable change to next year’s competition is that Pokémon UNITE will no longer be part of the Pokémon World Championships.
Instead, the game will get its own separate in-person tournament in Japan, with more details to be announced at a later date.
Ticketing details and other information about the Singapore event have also yet to be announced.
New animated movie to be released in 2027
The Pokémon Company also announced an all-new feature-length animated movie titled ‘Pokémon: Wild Card’, which is set for release beginning in 2027.
The film follows an aspiring Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) player and Mimikyu, the “Disguise Pokémon”.
